By Volvo/AC Bus- The most popular option for budget and solo/group travelers. Buses depart from Kashmiri Gate ISBT and Majnu ka Tila, mostly in the evening, so you sleep through part of the journey and reach Manali by early morning. HRTC and several private Volvo operators run daily services.
By Train + Cab- There’s no direct train to Manali. The nearest major railheads are Chandigarh or Ambala, from where you take a cab (roughly 7–8 hours onward). This works well if you prefer a more comfortable overnight journey before the hill drive.
By Flight + Cab- The fastest option. Fly into Kullu-Bhuntar Airport (limited flights, mostly from Delhi), then it’s just a 50-minute drive to Manali. Ideal for short trips or travelers who want to save time over comfort trade-offs.
By Self-Drive- A scenic but tiring option via the Chandigarh–Mandi–Kullu route. Recommended only if you’re comfortable with mountain driving, hairpin bends, and possible fog in winter. Budget extra time for fuel stops and rest breaks.
