Modern Aircraft and Improved Comfort
The new route will be operated with Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft, which IndiGo is leasing from Norse Atlantic Airways. Five more Dreamliners will join IndiGo’s fleet during the current financial year, supporting additional long-haul flights. These aircraft are known for their enhanced passenger comfort and fuel efficiency, making long journeys more enjoyable for flyers.
Business Class for the First Time
For the first time in the airline’s history, IndiGo is introducing a business class service, called IndiGoStretch, on select international routes. While initially being offered from August 2025 on flights between India, Singapore, and Dubai, the new cabin product is expected to elevate the airline’s premium travel experience, and may also be available on the London Heathrow route.
A Challenge to Major Carriers
With entry into the UK market, IndiGo will compete directly with established full-service airlines such as Air India, British Airways, and Virgin Atlantic.
