What Dubai honeymoon packages usually cover
In short: Dubai honeymoon packages usually bundle a hotel, transfers and a few sightseeing days. Flights, visa and meals differ by seller, and a hotel fee comes on top. Get each line in writing before you compare.
You’ve booked the wedding, the leave is approved, and now every Dubai listing says “romantic” and shows a different number. One includes the flight from Delhi. One starts at the airport in Dubai. One has a tick next to “visa” that turns out to mean “we’ll tell you where to apply”. You can’t compare any of them, and that’s not your fault. The listings are vague, and the vagueness is where the surprise bill comes from.
If you want the hotel, transfers and sightseeing sorted in one place, VeeTrips lists a Delhi-departure package with the inclusions spelled out, and the about page shows who you’d be talking to in Dwarka. The rest of this page is for before you ask anyone, us included. It’s the checklist I’d hand a cousin who’s just got married.
I’m going to be careful with prices. Our own pages show different starting prices for Dubai and for the places you might compare it with, and none of them is a fixed price. I’ll show them with labels, so you can see why they don’t line up.
The usual shape
A Dubai honeymoon package is normally 4 nights 5 days or 5 nights 6 days. It has a hotel, a pickup and drop at the airport, and a few sightseeing days: usually a city tour, a desert safari with dinner, and a cruise or a tower visit. A “luxury” version changes the hotel, adds a private car or swaps a group tour for a private one. What differs from one seller to the next is the list below.
What to ask about, line by line
| Line | Ask this | Why it matters |
|---|---|---|
| Flights from Delhi | In the price, or not? | The biggest swing in the total |
| Visa | Who applies, and who pays the fee? | A separate cost that can be left out |
| Hotel tax | Is the tourism dirham in the price? | Charged per room per night, on top |
| Meals | Breakfast only, or dinners too? | Dinners for two add up quickly |
| Transfers | Airport only, or sightseeing days too? | A private car for the day is a real cost |
| Tours | Shared or private? Entry fees in or out? | Often listed as “optional” |
| Hotel area | Palm, Downtown, Marina? | Decides every day’s travel and your evenings |
Use the same questions for every seller. If an answer comes back as “it depends”, ask what it depends on. Then get it in an email or a message, not on a call you’ll half remember. A package you can’t read back is a package you can’t compare. A seller who minds putting it in writing has told you something.
Do the sum yourself too. Say two packages for 2 people look 10,000 apart. Before you celebrate, check which one carries the flights and which one has dinner. The cheaper one is often just the one with fewer lines filled in.

Our listed prices, and why they don’t line up
I’d rather show you our own numbers than invent a typical one, because they show the problem better than a made-up example. These are the site’s own listed starting prices, not a survey of the market, and they change.
Our home page lists Dubai from ₹64,999 per person with flight. It doesn’t say whether the visa or meals are in that figure, so that’s the first question I’d ask anyone, including us. It also isn’t a price for a honeymoon room, a specific hotel or a specific month. It’s a “from” price. For two people, you’d be looking at roughly double the per-person figure, plus whatever the lines above add.
Now put it next to the other trips couples shortlist. Our home page lists Singapore and Bali from ₹74,999 with flight. Our Bali package page lists ₹21,499 per person for 4 nights 5 days, excluding flights and visa. Our Bali honeymoon cost guide says from ₹85,000 per couple with flights. Our Maldives page lists from ₹44,999 per person for 4 nights with flights.
Our listed starting prices, and what each one says it includes
| Trip | Listed starting price | Flights | Visa and meals |
|---|---|---|---|
| Dubai | ₹64,999 per person | With flight | Not stated on the listing |
| Maldives | ₹44,999 per person, 4 nights | With flights | Not stated on the listing |
| Bali (package page) | ₹21,499 per person, 4 nights 5 days | Excluded | Visa excluded; meals vary by plan |
| Bali (cost guide) | ₹85,000 per couple | With flights | Ask: not stated |
Source: VeeTrips’s own listings, which vary by page and date. These are the site’s claims, not verified research.
Read that table twice. The Dubai figure and the Bali page figure can’t be compared at all, because one has the flight and one hasn’t. The ₹85,000 figure is for a couple and the others are per person. If you laid the headline numbers side by side without those labels, they’d look like four different companies. That’s the point. There’s no single price of a Dubai honeymoon package, and I’d distrust anyone who gives you one without saying what’s in it.
If you’re weighing Dubai against Bali for the same money, our Bali package checklist works the same way, and our Maldives price guide covers what that price leaves out.
How many nights a Dubai honeymoon needs
Flights eat the first and last day. So 4 nights 5 days is really about three full days in the city. That’s enough for the tower, a desert evening and a cruise, if you’re happy to keep moving. It isn’t a slow honeymoon.
5 nights 6 days is the one I’d suggest for most couples. You get a slow day by the pool, which a honeymoon needs more than another attraction. If you want to add a second city, that’s where Abu Dhabi comes in. Abu Dhabi is a 1½-hour ride from Dubai, so it works as a day trip and doesn’t need a hotel change. That’s my reading. Ask a seller whether their Abu Dhabi day is a private car or a shared coach, because it changes how long you spend in traffic.
Two ways to split the time (an illustration, not a price)
| Plan | What it looks like | Good for |
|---|---|---|
| 4 nights 5 days | One hotel, two sightseeing days, one free day | A short break, a tight leave |
| 5 nights 6 days | One hotel, two sightseeing days, two free days | Most couples |
| 5 nights 6 days, with Abu Dhabi | The same, with one sightseeing day spent in Abu Dhabi | A couple who want a second city without moving hotels |
This is a way to split days, not a product. Nothing in it is a price.
A 5 nights 6 days plan, day by day
Here’s how I’d lay out the middle option, using only things the sources I read describe. Hold a seller’s itinerary up against it.
Day 1: land, transfer, do nothing. Clear immigration, find your driver, get to the hotel. Swim, eat early, sleep. If your flight lands late, that’s all it will be, and that’s fine.
Day 2: the city, in daylight. The Dubai Mall and Burj Khalifa are both in Downtown Dubai, so they sit together. Go up the tower in the late afternoon and stay for the sunset.
Day 3: a free day. Beach or pool, a late breakfast, no alarm. A honeymoon needs one.
Day 4: the desert. A desert safari runs around five hours, usually in an SUV with a specialist driver. Dinner is normally part of it. Ask what you eat and what you drink, since alcohol is a separate matter (more on that below).
Day 5: the water. A cruise in the Marina, which usually runs about four hours. Or swap it for a day in Abu Dhabi.
Day 6: home. Check-out, transfer, flight. Ask what time the car comes and whether it’s built around your departure time and not the driver’s day.
Notice the free day in the middle. A listing that fills every hour looks like value and feels like a school trip. When you read a seller’s day-by-day, count the free hours. If there are none, ask why.
Where to stay: Palm, Downtown or the Marina
Pick the area first, then compare packages in that area. Comparing a Palm hotel with a Downtown one is comparing two holidays. Here’s how the places I could source differ.
What each area is usually like
| Area | What it’s like | Good for |
|---|---|---|
| Palm Jumeirah | An artificial archipelago, with luxury and upscale resorts on its outer crescent | A resort stay with a beach and little else to do |
| Downtown Dubai | The Dubai Mall and Burj Khalifa are here | Sightseeing on foot, shopping, short transfers |
| Dubai Marina and Jumeirah Beach | Listed with Jumeirah Road as top attractions | Beach and waterfront dinners, a lively evening |
The Palm is where you go if the hotel is the holiday. It’s an archipelago of artificial islands in Jumeirah, shaped like a palm tree from the air, with the outer crescent used for luxury and upscale resorts. A 5.4-kilometre monorail runs along it. The price of that is distance: it’s an island, so the tower, the mall and the desert pickup are all a drive away. Ask who pays for those drives.
Downtown is the other way round. The hotel is less of a world in itself, but the Dubai Mall and the tower are close. If you don’t want to spend your honeymoon in a car, this is the area I’d look at first.
The Marina and Jumeirah Beach sit between the two. You get the sea and a waterfront to walk along in the evening, and you’re not as far out as the Palm. I’d choose this for a couple who want to walk to dinner.
I can’t tell you which hotel is best, and I can’t name one that our pages don’t name. For any seller’s list, look each hotel up and check it’s in the area they say. A hotel “near” the Marina isn’t always in it.

Visa: what I could find, dated
This is the part first-time travellers worry about most, so here’s what I found, with a date. I read these pages on 6 November 2026. Rules and fees change, and I can’t promise any of it is current on the day you fly. VeeTrips offers visa assistance with its packages, but we’re not a visa authority. The UAE decides.
Indian citizens can get a visa on arrival only if they hold a valid visa from the European Union, Canada, the United Kingdom or the United States. In that case there are two options: 14 days, extendable once by 14 days, or 60 days with no extension. Without one of those, Indians would use an online visa, applied for through the Smart Service or through an airline. Every visitor also needs a passport valid for at least 6 months.
Indian passport holders with an ECR stamp may also need an “OK to Board” approval from their airline. The pages I read don’t agree on the fee, so I’m not going to quote one. A figure from a page that contradicts another isn’t a figure I’d trust.
So when a seller says “visa included”, ask four things:
- Which kind: a visa on arrival (if you qualify) or an online one applied for beforehand?
- Who files it, and who pays the fee?
- What do they need from you, and by when?
- What happens if it’s refused?
Check your passports before anything else. It costs nothing, and it’s the one problem a package can’t fix at the airport. A seller who promises approval is promising something nobody can. If you want a hand with the forms, ask us about visa assistance, and check the official government site on the day you apply.
The charge that isn’t in the headline: the tourism dirham
Dubai hotels add a small fee on top of the room rate, called the tourism dirham. It’s charged per room per night, not per guest, and it depends on the hotel’s star rating. Gulf News reported, when it began in 2018, that five-star hotels charge Dh20, four-star Dh15, two- and three-star Dh10, and one-star or budget hotels Dh7. Those are 2018 figures. I couldn’t open an official page with the current rates, so check with your seller.
The tourism dirham, per room per night, as reported in 2018
| Hotel class | Fee per room per night |
|---|---|
| Five-star | Dh20 |
| Four-star | Dh15 |
| Two- and three-star | Dh10 |
| One-star or budget | Dh7 |
Source: Gulf News, 2018 report; current rates may differ.
It’s small. For 5 nights at a five-star hotel it comes to Dh100 for the room: Dh20 times 5. Nobody’s going to cancel a honeymoon over that. But it’s the sort of line that’s “payable at the hotel” in the small print, and you don’t want to find that out at the front desk with a card that won’t work abroad. Ask whether it’s in the price or at check-in.
What else the price leaves out
Even a good package leaves things for you to pay. Not because anyone is hiding them. They’re just not in the headline.
What often sits outside a package price
| Item | Usually in the price? | What to ask |
|---|---|---|
| Flights from Delhi | Sometimes | Airline, stops, baggage |
| Visa | Often not | Who files, who pays |
| Tourism dirham | Often not | At check-in, or in the price |
| Lunches and dinners | Depends | Which meals, and where |
| Tower tickets, cruises, extras | Often “optional” | List with prices |
| Travel insurance | Rarely | Whether it’s offered |
| Tips and shopping | No | Nothing, but budget for them |
Meals deserve a sum of their own. Say lunch and dinner cost 500 each per person, for 2 people over 5 days. That’s 10,000 before you’ve bought a drink. The figure is invented, there to show the arithmetic and not a Dubai price. Do it with a real number from a menu you’ve seen. If a package has dinners included, it may well be the better deal even if it costs more upfront.
I couldn’t find a dated, checkable source for what honeymoon extras cost, such as a private dinner or a yacht, so I’m not quoting any. Ask for each one by name, with a price, in writing.
Honeymoon perks, and what to ask
Some hotels do something for newlyweds. A room upgrade, a cake, flowers. I couldn’t find a source I trust for which hotels do and what proof they want, so I won’t promise that any do. What I’d do is simple: ask the seller, before you pay, whether the hotel does anything for a honeymoon couple and whether it’s in writing. If the answer is “subject to availability”, ask what that means. A perk that exists only in the brochure is a perk you’re not getting.
Carry your marriage certificate and both passports in your hand luggage. I couldn’t find a rule that says you must, so that’s my habit and not the law. It’s a lot easier to produce a document than to argue without one.
Rules for couples: what’s frowned upon
This is the part most listings skip, and it matters for newlyweds more than anyone. These are the things I could find in sources, and I’m giving them plainly because you’d want to know.
Affection in public. In Dubai, public displays of affection are frowned upon and public sexual acts can lead to prison sentences followed by deportation. Across the UAE, public displays of affection are described as illegal and punishable by fine or jail. I can’t tell you where the line sits between holding hands and a kiss on the beach. So don’t test it. Save it for the room.
Dress. Women aren’t legally required to wear a hijab, but revealing fashions such as tank tops and shorts are discouraged, and modest clothing is needed to visit mosques or religious sites. On the beach, avoid sunbathing topless, even on a hotel’s private beach. A resort pool is a different world from a public street, so pack for both.
Alcohol. It’s illegal to drink alcohol in public places, and it’s available only at licensed premises, usually attached to hotels. Bars and clubs don’t let in anyone under 21. So a drink with dinner is a hotel or restaurant thing. A bottle on the beach isn’t.
Ramadan. Ramadan 2027 is listed as 8 February to 8 March. Restaurants outside tourist hotels stay closed in daylight, and non-Muslims should avoid eating or drinking in public. Ask your hotel what it means for meals and for the pool. Our Dubai by month guide has more on how it changes a trip.
Is Dubai safe for couples? Dubai is one of the safest cities in the world for street crime, and law enforcement is harsh, with severe punishments for what elsewhere would pass as inappropriate behaviour. Both can be true. You’re unlikely to be robbed, and you’re more likely to be fined for something you wouldn’t think twice about at home.
None of this should put you off. It’s the usual rule for a trip like this: read the local rules, and don’t be the person who learns them from a policeman.

Romantic things worth paying for
Every operator lists the same handful. Here’s how I’d think about them, using what the sources say and nothing more.
Burj Khalifa at sunset. Its height is 829.8 m. The 124th-floor deck is at 452 m, the 148th floor at 555 m, and a lounge on floors 152 to 154 at 585 m. I don’t have a dated ticket price for any level, so ask for it by level. Book a sunset slot if you can. The sunset time depends on the month, and the table below works it out for December.
| Date | Sunrise | Sunset |
|---|---|---|
| 1 Dec | 6:47 am | 5:28 pm |
| 8 Dec | 6:51 am | 5:29 pm |
| 15 Dec | 6:56 am | 5:31 pm |
| 22 Dec | 7:00 am | 5:34 pm |
| 31 Dec | 7:03 am | 5:39 pm |
Desert safari with dinner. About five hours. It’s the one thing every couple does. Ask whether it’s a private vehicle or a shared one, what’s served and what the drinks cost, and what time you’re back at the hotel.
A cruise in the Marina. Usually about four hours. Ask whether dinner is on board and whether the boat is shared. A private evening on the water is a different price from a seat on a crowded deck.
Palm Jumeirah. You don’t need a package line for it, since the island is easy to see from the beach or the monorail. Pay for the hotel there only if you want the hotel.

If you can only afford two of these, I’d pick the tower at sunset and the desert evening. Put the rest in the free days. A honeymoon that’s mostly booked tours is a tour that happens to have a honeymoon in it.
Dubai honeymoon packages by season
The short version is November to March. Daytime highs usually sit between 24 and 31 °C then, which is a different thing from June to September. I wrote a full month-by-month guide, so I won’t repeat it here, but the numbers that decide a honeymoon are these.
Usual temperatures in Dubai
| Month | Usual high (°C) | Usual low (°C) |
|---|---|---|
| January | 24.0 | 14.3 |
| March | 30.0 | 18.3 |
| November | 31.0 | 20.1 |
| August | 42.1 | 30.4 |
Source: figures credited to the Dubai Meteorological Office. Our best time to visit Dubai guide uses the same figures.
January is the coolest, with a usual high of 24.0 °C and a night of 14.3 °C. August is the hottest, with 42.1 °C and a night that stays at 30.4 °C. So in summer there’s no cool evening to rescue you. Summer is when a seller will often offer a cheaper package, and a honeymoon indoors, hotel to mall to hotel, is a real choice some couples make. I couldn’t find a dated source for how much cheaper, so I won’t give a percentage. Ask for quotes for two different months and compare them line by line.
I can’t promise weather for any week. Nobody can. If your wedding falls in the summer months, book a hotel with a good pool, plan the mornings and the evenings, and spend midday inside.
Dubai, Bali or Maldives?
Plenty of couples shortlist all three. Here’s an honest comparison, without a “both are great” cop-out.
How the three usually compare for a couple from Delhi
| Dubai | Bali | Maldives | |
|---|---|---|---|
| What the trip is | City, desert, beach, with a tower and a mall | Villas, rice terraces, temples, a beach | A resort island and the sea |
| Rules to keep in mind | Public affection, dress, alcohol | Visa and tourist levy, as our Bali checklist covers | Entry paperwork on the official page |
| Listed price on our pages | From ₹64,999 per person with flight | From ₹21,499 per person, excluding flights and visa | From ₹44,999 per person, 4 nights with flights |
| Best months | Usually November to March | Usually the drier months, June to September | Usually February to April |
Our listed prices aren’t like for like, so don’t subtract one from another. What I can say is where each one fits.
Dubai is the one for a couple who like options. There’s a city, a beach and a desert within a short drive, so a few days don’t feel repetitive. It’s the least “rest” of the three, because it’s a big place and a package will be tempted to fill it. The rules on public affection matter more here than in the other two.
Bali is the one for villas and slow mornings, if you’d rather have rice terraces and a pool than a tower. The Bali package checklist has the lines to ask about.
The Maldives is the one where the room is the holiday. You pay for the island, the boat or seaplane transfer and the meals, and there isn’t much to do beyond the sea. Our Maldives by month guide explains why the dry months are the ones couples pick.
If I were choosing for a first honeymoon on a fixed budget, I’d ask which of the three the two of you would rather wake up in. Not which one is cheaper on the brochure. The difference between them is bigger than the difference in price.
Before you pay: a short list
- Flights: in the price or not? Which airline, which days?
- Visa: who files, who pays, and which kind?
- Tourism dirham: in the price or at the front desk?
- Meals: which ones, and what do dinners cost?
- Area and hotel: which, and how far from the tower and the desert pickup?
- Tours: shared or private? Entry fees in or out?
- Honeymoon extras: what exactly, in writing?
- Dates: what happens if yours move?
- Per person or per couple, and for how many nights?
The last two matter most if your plans are still moving, which they often are around a wedding. We’re a single-owner agency in Dwarka, so if your dates change the week before, you can call the office and talk to the person who booked it. Chasing a stranger’s helpline from an airport isn’t something I’d wish on anyone.

One more thing. A package earns its place when you want one person answerable for the hotel, transfers and tours, and you’d rather not do the planning as a second job. It’s less obviously worth it if you’ve booked abroad before and you’re happy to stitch it together. Compare both totals line by line, and don’t take anyone’s word for which is cheaper, mine included.
Frequently asked questions
How much do Dubai honeymoon packages cost from India?
It depends on what’s inside, and I won’t give one fixed price. Our home page lists Dubai from ₹64,999 per person with flight, and it doesn’t say whether visa and meals are in. A “from” price isn’t a quote for your dates or your hotel. Compare quotes line by line, not headline to headline.
How many days are enough for a Dubai honeymoon?
Four nights is enough for the tower, a desert evening and a cruise if you move quickly. Five nights gives you a free day by the pool, which I’d choose for most couples. Flights take most of the first and last day.
What is the best time to visit Dubai for a honeymoon?
Usually November to March, when daytime highs sit between 24 and 31 °C. January has a usual high of 24.0 °C, and August one of 42.1 °C. I can’t promise weather for any week. Our month-by-month guide has the full table.
What visa do Indian honeymooners need for Dubai?
As of the pages I read on 6 November 2026, Indians qualify for a visa on arrival only with a valid visa from the EU, Canada, the UK or the US. Otherwise it’s an online visa, and the passport needs 6 months of validity. Rules and fees change, so check an official source. VeeTrips offers visa assistance, but the UAE decides.
Is Dubai safe and couple-friendly for a honeymoon?
Dubai is one of the safest cities in the world for street crime. It’s also strict: public displays of affection are frowned upon and can carry penalties, and alcohol is only at licensed premises. Keep affection private, dress modestly outside the resort, and you’ll be fine.
Is the tourism dirham included in my package?
Often it isn’t. It’s charged per room per night, and the 2018 Gulf News report puts it between Dh7 and Dh20 depending on the star rating. Current rates may differ. Ask your seller whether it’s in the price or paid at check-in.
Should I choose Dubai, Bali or the Maldives?
Dubai if you want a city, a desert and a beach in one trip. Bali if you’d rather have villas and rice terraces. The Maldives if the room and the sea are the point. Our listed prices for the three aren’t like for like, so don’t pick on the headline number.
Can VeeTrips help me plan a Dubai honeymoon from Delhi?
We’re a single-owner agency in Dwarka, so you can call the office and talk to the person who’d handle your booking. Ask what’s in the price, including flights, visa assistance and meals, before you pay.
